The Discovery Tour 1607 - 2007

The Discovery on Tour
'The Discovery Tour 1607 - 2007' will be the British focus of 'Jamestown 2007', the commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the landing of the first English-speaking settlers in Virginia, an event that will be celebrated throughout 2007 on both sides of the Atlantic.
'The Discovery' is a full-size replica of the smallest of the three ships that sailed from Blackwall in December 1606. During the summer of 2007, the Discovery will tour to destinations around the UK, many of which can trace local connections to the original settlers, including places in Kent, Essex, Suffolk, Essex and Lincolnshire. 'The Discovery' will also make guest appearances at maritime festivals around the UK.
